At least one bear a year makes the Boone & Crockett record book.  In the Fall we offer a 3 week period for bow hunters to hunt either {or both} bear and deer. No rifle hunting is allowed during this period.  Please call for details.  Following bow hunting, there are 4 weeks of rifle hunting for deer, during which the first 2 weeks also include bear hunting. John's Paradise had another great Spring Bear season with 23 hunters shooting 14 bear, a 60.8% success rate while our Provincial (State) average is only 51%. Three large bear were taken this year, one of which had a beautiful white chest.
